DIY Tidbyt Display

$5.00

This project is inspired by the extremely popular Tidbyt displays, but it skips many of the fancy features to drop the hefty price tag. The full version with a walnut enclosure cost around $80 to make, which is still less than half the cost of a real Tidbyt, but that price could be dropped even more by 3d printing the enclosure. (Not to take anything away from Tidbyt’s, they’re awesome!)

These instructions will walk you through creating this same retro display that I have, which fetches the number of subscribers from a given YouTube channel, but really it’s just the starting point to hopefully get you addicted to electronics projects! Please make sure to join the Discord server and shout out any problems you have with the instructions or questions you have along the way, and as always, have fun!
